Call for Student Volunteers
The 25th Annual IEEE International Symposium on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (RO-MAN 2016) is looking for student volunteers.
RO-MAN is a conference to inspire the research, design and development, and use of robots that interact collaboratively with people and support human collaboration. The conference is not only a scientific event, but also a platform for exchange between researchers, technology developers and suppliers, and end users around commercial or research applications in robotics.
The theme of the conference is: “Human-Robot Collaboration.” The conference will be held at Columbia University, Manhattan, New York on August 26-31, 2016.
Benefits and Duties: If you are a RO-MAN Student Volunteer, you get
- One free student registration for the conference (*One free student registration benefit for volunteering at the conference does NOT apply to presenting authors of accepted submissions)

- Free coffee breaks and lunches during the 5 days of the conference plus the welcome reception.
- A chance to attend a premier forum for innovations in human-robot interaction
Student volunteers will be required to help set up and perform needed work during all the conference days (August 26-31, 2016) from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Duties include: bag stuffing, registration desk, AV assistance, poster and demo setup, badge checking, break monitoring, etc. Volunteers will also need to be available during the conference if tasks come up. Student volunteers usually get to attend most of the sessions, even when working.
