Human Rights, Emergencies & Peacebuilding

Welcome

The faculty and students highlighted here are interested in research, policy, and practice that examines the multifaceted contributions that education and education actors can make amidst conflict, forced displacement, and peacebuilding initiatives. We work across myriad emergency, protracted crisis, post-conflict, and peacebuilding settings around the world. Our research engages interdisciplinary and critical approaches to examine the role of education (including its limitations) in fostering social justice, human rights, social cohesion, sustainable peace, and human dignity across the humanitarian-development nexus.
